A Heartstart Training Course was held in the Cranford Suite at the Curzon Cinema on Wednesday evening, 30th July 2014.
The Course was designed to re-fresh their knowledge on how to perform CPR and use a Defibrillator on someone who had suffered a cardiac arrest in the cinema premises.
The Defibrillator was fitted by the Trust before the Curzon before the Curzon took over the original cinema at the Civic Hall and is now regularly maintained by our staff.
Grace Clarke, one of the Curzon staff attending the Course said afterwards “I thoroughly enjoyed the Course with Knutsford Heartstart. There were ample “Little Annies” for us to practice on and their were Instructors on hand to talk through the process! All in all it was really good fun and Steph delivered the presentation superbly…”
Beth England, another member of the Curzon staff also commented: “I Felt the course was a great experience for me to recap on my knowledge of this particular area in first aid. I felt all of the helpers we’re brilliant with encouragement and made the instructions really clear, no matter what level of first aid you were, whether you we’re a qualified in first aid or knew nothing at all, They worked to a level in which everyone could understand and i felt the communication was excellent in the sense of how to do particular things and what effect they can have on saving lives.Thank you for giving myself and the rest of us the opportunity to participate in the course.”
Thank you for your positive feedbacks Grace and Beth
This was Stephanie Griffith’s first public Training Course since she qualified as a BHF accredited Trainer earlier this year – well done Steph!
Derek Empson, his wife Margaret and Gwen Marriott from the Jubilee Room Committee also attended the Course. The Jubilee Room has recently been fitted with a Defibrillator generously donated by the Knutsford League of Hospital Friends.
