Knutsford Community First Responder Trust launched their new a new “limited edition” Knutsford Community Heartstart Enamel Badge at last Thursday’s monthly Heartstart Course
This Badge will NOT be available to the “general public”. It is only to be awarded to participants who have successfully completed its Heartstart course and been awarded the British Heart Foundation accredited certificate.
I am asking those who will be presented with this award to “wear it with pride” said The Trust’s Chairman Adrian Rees, who is also the Knutsford Community Heartstart Coordinator “Having this badge prominently displayed when you are out shopping, taking walks, on holiday etc. will show people that you are trained to perform CPR (cardiac pulmonary resuscitation) and to use an AED (automatic external defibrillator) and in the (hopefully very unlikely) event of attending a cardiac arrest incident, the public will know that you are the person “to take charge” ”
